In 2012, MAX developed the first instructor-led coding bootcamp in Ohio and today our JAVA & .NET bootcamps are a reliable source of technology talent. All MAX Career Bootcamps are full-time 11-week, Monday thru Friday courses. We offer Coding & Career Bootcamps for both JAVA and .NET technologies. Our JAVA bootcamp is also offered in a 25-week part-time course designed for people who need to maintain their employment. Our Business Analyst Bootcamp is new to our lineup and will feed the next in-demand technology professional position. We encourage our potential bootcamp students to first attend one of our open house events and talk to our Bootcamp Success Specialist.
- WHAT’S IT LIKE IN A BOOTCAMP?
Your bootcamp is never out-of-the-box. Your experienced instructors focus on bringing field relevant methods and skills to the course, skills that will prepare you for your new career. Our career bootcamps are accelerated learning paths, and depending on your bootcamp of choice, the dedicated hours per week for the bootcamp can change. Here’s an example of a weekly breakdown of hours for our full-time and part-time bootcamps.
You will receive instructor-led training with hands-on labs and one-on-one instruction time. Your bootcamp will welcome subject matter experts, hiring partners, and speakers that add to your technical and career training. JAVA and .NET technologies are in applications created and used by companies around the world. Software development requires skills in database development, C# and JAVA languages, HTML, CSS, and advanced frameworks. Your preparation will include completing the Strengths Finder Assessment, Peer Mock Interviews, Emotional Intelligence training, and Group Coaching.
Your career team will also prepare for the Graduate Demo Day and Hiring Partner interview event. During this event you will present your Capstone Project with your fellow bootcamp students, participate in the hiring event networking session and speed interviews. To be accepted into the MAX Technical Training Career Bootcamps program you must visit the MAX facility and sit for the assessment. The Bootcamp assessment evaluates logical reasoning, mathmatics, and spatial reasoning. It helps us understand how you fit with the skills required to be successful in the course. Next you will sit with one of our advisors and complete the in-person interview. This helps us evaluate your fit as a personality and student in a team environment. We require a simple typing test and then your onto the official application. Once you pass all evaluations and complete your application our admissions team will review your information. If selected for the bootcamp, you’ll be notified and at that time we’ll request your plan for funding your training. Are you ready to join the IT revolution?
If you’re considering a bootcamp and you’re not sure how to fund your career transition. MAX accepts direct payments for our bootcamps, Skillsfund loans, and the GI Bill. We work with an organization called Skillsfund. You can complete their training loan application online and see if you meet their requirements.
