Are passwords going to become a thing of the past?
We’ve all heard about the recent data breaches in social media giants LinkedIn and Tumblr, and passwords are at the forefront of concern. Well… Google is hoping to eliminate them (at least on mobile devices) with it’s Trust API for Android. Robert Nazarian, of DigitalTrends, tells us more:
“Typing passwords might be the biggest nuisance on mobile devices, and Google wants to kill them for good. Last week at Google I/O 2016, Daniel Kaufman, the head of Google’s Advanced Technology and Projects research unit (ATAP) updated us on Project Abacus, Google’s software-only plan to eliminate the need to enter passwords.” Read the complete article
